Careers in civil engineering

The Local Road Research Board tasked my team with creating an animated video to promote interest among middle school and high school students in careers in civil engineering. With a board of over nine contributors representing different districts throughout Minnesota, managing feedback and delivering a piece that satisfied everyone while remaining within budget was no small task.

With the intention that the concepts in the animation will be featured in print and web material, we created different “worlds” to represent many of the core disciplines associated with civil engineering. Each world was given a specific color that will be consistent in future materials.

The Minnesota Local Road Research Board recently collaborated with CRASH+SUES to produce an animated video designed to encourage middle-school age kids to consider a career in one of the many disciplines within civil engineering.

Responsible for: Art direction, writing, design, storyboarding, asset creation, rigging, motion design, editing, sound design, and finish.
